Did you know that statistically only 10% of women fight back when being attacked?  90% of the women that fight back, manage to avoid serious harm to themselves.

 

We specialize in two kinds of workshops but are flexible to present anything in between.

1.    Introduction to Self Defence workshop. (Corporate)

2.    In depth 4 hour beginner self defence seminar. (Individuals)

 

Would You Like To Host A Self Defence Workshop At Your Office?

 

Our self defence workshop is geared at beginner to intermediate students that would like to know a bit more about defending themselves in real life situations. We will not be teaching you karate but self defence that works on the streets. Self defence that can be applied by young and old, male and female, tall, short, strong and the “not so strong”.  Adult men and women of all ages taught in-person by our experienced instructors who are up to date with the latest self defence techniques.

 

 

 

What Will The Workshop Cover?

 

We teach the map of self defence:

“M” Mindset   

“A” Awareness

“P” Physical

 

 

 

 

It’s important to understand self defence and what it is. It’s important to have the right MINDSET before, during or after an attack.

 

We will stimulate your thinking and AWARENESS of your strengths and weaknesses, Your surroundings and your attacker/s strengths and weaknesses. Be aware of your own body and possible weapons during an attack.

 

We will get PHYSICAL but will teach you simple repeatable moves that can be easily learned and repeated especially during the stresses of and attack. We will practice how to get out of hijacking situations and or simple ways to escape someone grabbing or holding you under duress.  We will cover a couple of floor techniques and also how to defend you against an attacker with a knife of other weapons.

How Long Is The Workshop?

Our basic introduction to self defence workshop is normally one hour.  We can accommodate 20 people per session.  We can also run more than one workshop per day.  For your convenience workshops can be conducted at your own premises or ours.

What Does The Workshop Cost?

Costs start from as little as R50 per person (minimum 12 people) depending on where and when the training is hosted.

Often people really enjoy the basic introduction to self defence but feel they need to do the whole intensive and comprehensive workshop held at JION’s premises. We offer those to individuals and have two or three such workshops in the year. This course is approximately 4 hours long and still based on the MAP of self defence but we have more time to cover and practice to give people confidence. The cost for this course is charged at R300 per person and include a small health lunch.   If you are interested in doing this course we keep your name on file and inform you when the next workshop is due.
